Guernica

When I studied architecture, one of my favorite subjects was Cultural History: the exploration of the relationship between socio-political events and the state of the Arts.

A red thread through that course was that the shittier the world, the more explosive and urgent the creativity. Not sure if it’s a thing, but I call it the Guernica-moment. We’re in one now.

Maybe that’s why I’m so determined to eradicate unnecessary conflict from my own life. The world supplies more than enough friction.

Without noise, there is room to hear myself, and I can preserve my energy for creating meaningful things.
